On an end-of-season Monday in April 1900, the greatest football team there had ever been reunited to play a very special one-off match. The Preston North End “Invincibles” of 1888-89 were the first Football League champions, winning the league and cup double without losing a match, and scoring 85 goals in just 27 games. More than a decade later, the likes of Johnny Goodall, Jimmy Ross and Johnny Graham got back together to play the then-current North End league team, in front of old and new fans.
